TIP is a 2 Semester Industry collaboration project course, in which students gain 3 credits each semester. The main focus of TIP is you, the student, as it's student driven. You are given the opportunity to showcase your talents alongside other talented peers and make a real-world impact that contributes to your own personal career growth.
Fall 2026 Team Innovation Projects
Enrollment Steps & Guidelines
All three sections register under the same catalog listing: “KC 5001: Team Innovation Projects.” Students enrolling in a TIP project (101-LEC or 102-LEC) must enroll in two components: a lecture (LEC) section and a lab (LAB) section. Section 103-LEC has no paired lab section - enroll in the LEC only. Confirm the correct section(s) with your faculty advisor or the TIP Program Office before you enroll.
Step 1: Enroll in your lecture (LEC) section

Step 2: Enroll in your lab section
Every TIP project team (101-LEC / 102-LEC) has its own dedicated lab section, taught by that project’s faculty advisor. Project lab sections are numbered sequentially: 301-LAB, 302-LAB, 303-LAB, 304-LAB, and so on, with one lab section per project. Confirm your specific lab section number with your faculty advisor or the TIP Program Office - it will not automatically match your lecture section number. Section 103-LEC does not have a paired lab section; students enrolling in 103-LEC enroll in the lecture only.
